Versatile Seating That Gives Back

In an evolving world of flexible workspaces, training areas, and collaborative zones, the Dab collection from Indiana Furniture stands out as a multi-purpose, stackable seating solution that blends form, function, and social impact.

Design & Purpose

With clean lines and light scaling, Dab fits effortlessly into a wide variety of environments — personal and shared offices, meeting and huddle rooms, break areas, cafés, training spaces, and more. Its flexible design allows it to adapt to evolving spatial needs, whether as guest seating or part of a modular group layout.

Material & Construction

At its core, each Dab chair’s seat and back are molded polypropylene made from 70% recycled content — delivering durability with a smaller environmental footprint. When upholstered, the chair incorporates high‑grade polyurethane foam in the seat and/or back.  The frame is constructed of powder-coated steel tubing (7/8″ diameter), available in black or aluminum finishes.

Customization & Flexibility

Dab offers an impressive palette of options:

  • Seat/Back Materials: Choose from upholstered, mesh, or poly (all-poly) variants.
  • Arm Options: Models are available with or without arms.
  • Mobility vs Stability: Select casters or glides depending on your layout needs.
  • Frame Colors: Black or aluminum-coated steel frames.
  • Upholstery Options: You can go with a single fabric or create contrast between seat and back using graded-in or contract textiles, vinyls, or leathers.
  • Ganging Capability: Add ganging brackets to lock chairs in place—ideal for lecture halls, auditoriums, or public waiting areas.

Stacking & Space Efficiency

One of Dab’s standout features is its stacking ability. Models with glides stack up to seven high, while those with casters stack four high—making them easy to store and redeploy.

Performance & Certifications

Indiana Furniture ensures that Dab meets rigorous standards:

  • Rated to support users up to 275 lbs
  • Ships fully assembled, minimizing installation hassle.
  • Helps contribute points toward LEED and Green Globes certification.

Giving Back

Dab is more than just a seating solution—it’s a socially conscious product. With every chair sold, Indiana Furniture donates a portion of the proceeds to The Common Thread for the Cure, a foundation supporting individuals in the furnishings industry affected by breast cancer. This commitment is part of what truly sets Dab apart.

Where Dab Shines

Given its versatility, sustainability, and performance, Dab is ideal for:

  • Meeting rooms, huddle spaces, and training rooms
  • Shared offices or coworking environments
  • Break rooms or café seating
  • Guest waiting areas, lecture halls, or auditorium settings
  • Flexible event spaces where chairs need to be reconfigured or stored

In Summary

The Dab collection combines clean, modern design with robust functionality and environmental conscience. Its broad range of customization options, efficient stacking, and socially responsible mission make it a compelling choice for designers, facility managers, and organizations seeking seating that does more than just sit.
